One of the things that I loved about living in Europe, was how fruit and cheese are considered dessert. After a robust meal, a few slices of a creamy, rich cheese and fresh strawberries or grapes is just the right way to end the evening. This platter is perfect for cheeses and fresh fruits, with its basket weave pattern and tiny ceramic strawberries around the edges of the platter.
Each of these pieces are lovingly created and made in Portugal. Bordallo Pinheiro was established in 1884, by a creative genius. Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro joined his brother's ceramic company as an artist and technician, creating beautiful unique pieces that gained an international reputation. Inspired by nature, these pieces are especially sweet and meaningful.
